Welcome to the Uganda Christian University School of Law!
With over 2,000 students both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels and 90 staff members, the School of Law at Uganda Christian University (UCU) is one of the leading Law Schools in Uganda. At UCU we strive to train lawyers who are morally well-grounded, know the law and can effectively apply the law in response to social challenges.
The UCU School of Law Which has been in existence for more than twenty years, has two study campuses with one located at the Main Campus in Mukono and other Campus located at Kampala within the capital city of Uganda.
The UCU School of Law is headed by the Dean who is deputized by two Associate Deans i.e., one for Main and the other for Kampala campus. The UCU School of Law has three Departments which are headed by Heads of Department and these include: Department for Diploma Studies; Departments for Undergraduate Studies and Department for Postgraduate Studies. In addition to these Departments, the UCU School of Law also has the John Sentamu Institute for Human Rights and an award-winning Moots/Trial Advocacy programme.
The UCU School of Law provides a wholistic legal education and research-based Diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. At the Diploma level we offer the two year Diploma in Law Programme (DIL), at the under graduate level we offer the four-year Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) programme and at the postgraduate level we offer a number of 18 months Master of Laws (LLM) programmes which include: LLM Oil and Gas; LLM International Business; and LLM Energy Law and Policy.
